چکیده

The effects associated with interatomic hoppings of excitons and the excitonic Bose condensate formation in strongly correlated spin crossover systems are considered framework effective Hamiltonian for two-band Kanamori model. appearance antiferromagnetic ordering due to exciton order is found even absence exchange interaction. spectrum excitations calculated at various points "temperature vs. crystal field" phase diagram. Outside region ordering, has a gap, which vanishes boundary phase. non-uniform spectral weight distribution over Brillouin zone found. role electron-phonon interaction discussed as well.

Excitonic condensation in systems of strongly correlated electrons.

The idea of exciton condensation in solids was introduced in the 1960s with the analogy of superconductivity in mind. While exciton supercurrents have been realised only in artificial quantum-well structures so far, the application of the concept of excitonic condensation to bulk solids leads to a rich spectrum of thermodynamic phases with diverse physical properties. In this review we discuss ...

Excitonic spectral features in strongly-coupled organic polaritons

Starting from a microscopic model, we investigate the optical spectra of molecules in stronglycoupled organic microcavities examining how they might self-consistently adapt their coupling to light. We consider both rotational and vibrational degrees of freedom, focusing on features which can be seen in the peak in the center of the spectrum at the bare excitonic frequency. In both cases we find...

Excitonic complexes in quantum Hall systems

The formation and various possible decay processes of neutral and charged excitonic complexes in electronic integral and fractional quantum Hall systems are discussed. The excitonic complexes are bound states of a small number of the relevant negatively and positively charged quasiparticles (e.g., conduction electrons and valence holes, reversed-spin electrons and spin holes, Laughlin quasielec...

Charged and spin-excitation gaps in half-filled strongly correlated electron systems: A rigorous result

By exploiting the particle-hole symmetries of the Hubbard model, the periodic Anderson model and the Kondo lattice model at half-filling and applying a generalized version of Lieb’s spin-reflection positivity method, we show that the charged gaps of these models are always larger than their spin excitation gaps. This theorem confirms the previous results derived by either the variational approa...
